I love tarts, if you didn't already know. They're beautiful, and always seem just a little more feminine, a little lighter, and a just a bit french. I made a delicious apple tart for our Thanksgiving celebration. I used the best Golden Delicious and Cortland apples and they did not disappoint. 
I'm not one who thinks apple pastries should be relegated to the summer and fall. We should enjoy these goodies all year long!

With perfectly ripe apples, a dusting of sugar, a lightly sweet and buttery crust, and hey, a nice dollop of vanilla whipped cream, there will be thanksgiving for this tart any day of the year.
